Our story
South Florida HVAC, done the right way
Koala Coolin was founded in 2023by technicians who'd spent years working for other companies and kept seeing the same thing: homeowners pushed toward replacements they didn't need, quotes that changed after the work started, and call centers instead of people. We started this company to do it differently.
We're based in Oakland Park and we work where we live — from same-day AC repair and full system replacement to commercial HVAC for local businesses. If a repair will genuinely get more life out of your system, that's what we'll recommend — we'd rather earn your next twenty service calls than oversell one replacement.
Every recommendation comes with upfront pricing before work starts, and the phone gets answered around the clock, because AC failures in South Florida don't keep business hours.
Licensed & accountable
A real license, on every job
Anyone can print a flyer. A Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractor license means state-verified competency, insurance, and accountability — and you can check it yourself.

HVAC is different in South Florida
The playbook that works in Ohio fails here. These are the conditions we design, install, and maintain around every day.
Cooling season never ends
Systems here run 2,500+ hours a year — several times the national average. Components wear faster, and skipped maintenance shows up as a July breakdown.
Humidity is half the job
Cooling the air isn't enough; a system that's oversized or poorly configured leaves a home cold and clammy. Proper sizing and airflow are how you get real comfort.
Salt air eats condensers
Near the coast, salt corrodes coils and cabinets years ahead of schedule. Equipment selection and protective coatings matter more here than almost anywhere else.
Storm season is real
Condensers need proper anchoring and code-compliant electrical work to ride out hurricane season — one more reason permitted, licensed installs matter.
Condensate never sleeps
Year-round humidity means drain lines work constantly. Clogged condensate lines are one of the most common South Florida AC failures — and one of the most preventable.
Sizing beats sales pitches
The right system for a South Florida home comes from a load calculation, not a rule of thumb. Bigger is not better when humidity control is on the line.

What your neighbors say
Real Google reviews from South Florida homeowners and businesses.
“Yan did an amazing job on my home AC! He was professional, on time, and explained everything clearly. He cleaned my home AC coil and even had to pull it out to clean it properly. My AC is working perfectly now and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing and cares about his work. I highly recommend Yan to anyone needing AC services — definitely a 10/10 experience!”

“I’m very pleased with the work that Alex and Isaac did when they installed our new AC. They were very professional, showed up on time, and kind. We loved their service so much that we brought the team back along with Jean and Yan to do our duct work. Another service provided with professionalism and excellence. I would recommend them to anyone (which I already have). 10/10!!”
